A woman who was caught at a party with three sachets of amphetamine at a party on May 1 five years ago was conditionally discharged for 30 months after the court heard her admitting that she had shared the drug with her friends.

Charlene-Connie Micallef, 32, from Xghajra, pleaded guilty to trafficking by sharing after a search as she was entering the party at MFCC yielded the drug. She was also found in possession of cocaine.

Magistrate Natasha Galea Sciberras ruled that although she had been charged with trafficking, given the admission that she had shared the drug with her friends, she should be trafficking by sharing. She therefore conditionally discharged her for 30 months.

Police Inspector Pierre Grech prosecuted while lawyers Franco Debono, Marion Camilleri and Amadeus Cachia appeared for the accused.
