Marsovin has been awarded a gold medal for its single estate wine, Marnisi 2012, at the Challenge International du Vin at Bourg and Blaye, just outside Bordeaux, France.

Marsovin has competed in this wine competition from time to time. This year a total of 4,212 wines from 34 countries entered the competition.

Marsovin CEO Jeremy Cassar, said: “We are very proud with this outstanding result since this wine competed against other premium wines and did very well. Professional wine tasters in France felt that the quality of this wine was worth a gold medal. For us this result goes to strengthen and affirm the recognition of quality that this wine already enjoys in Malta and overseas.”

Marnisi is a premium DOK red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes grown in Marsovin’s privately-owned estate in Marsaxlokk.

The estate last year celebrated its 20th anniversary.
