Amazing amateur video from Nepal shows the moment when a 7.8 earthquake struck on April 25th.

Kevin Krogh, who was shooting the video, and his wife Kat Heldman, are from San Diego and were with a mountaineering group of about 20 people.

They had spent the previous night in Langtang, which was completely destroyed by a rockfall caused by the earthquake. They left a few hours before the disaster.

As the quake shakes their guest house, Kat, seen in a dark top and rainbow striped hat, goes back into the building to help a member of her group.

They rush outside and stand with others, watching and waiting as the earthquake continues.

Then, at the very end of the video, people turn their heads towards the mountain to see an avalanche barrelling down the mountain. Moments later it engulfs them.

Luckily, everyone in the group survived, but some were seriously injured.
