A seven-year-old boy was lucky to escape serious injury when his fall from a window was broken twice this morning.

The incident happened in College Street, Mosta, when the boy fell a height of two-and-a-half storeys from a window.

Fortunately his fall was broken by wires running beneath the window and then an awning set up to screen a door from the sun.

The boy was rushed to hospital for medical checks.

The incident happened at about 8.15am.
