In an article in relation to the President of Malta, Article 72 of the Criminal Code was quoted. I find it strange and incongruous that the Criminal Code does not seem to have been quoted in relation to God Almighty and all the saints in heaven.

A person shall, on conviction, be liable to imprisonment for showing disrespect toward the President. This is as it should be, but why in Malta are swearing and blaspheming, using the most obscene and derogatory words against God, normally condoned with a smile and a shrug?
