The 2015 regulations for the possession and keeping of animals, which are currently undergoing public consultation, establish that anybody keeping venomous animals will also be required to keep available the antidote for their animals’ particular type of venom, in quantities necessary to fight the effects of the venom.
Answering a parliamentary question by opposition MP Mario Galea on Monday, Environment Minister Leo Brincat said the regulations had been published in the Government Gazette on April 14.
