The numbers of new cases of tuberculosis in Malta has gone down to 11 per 100,000 people last year from 11.9 in 2013, Health Minister Konrad Mizzi said this evening.

Replying to a parliamentary question by shadow minister Claudette Buttigieg he said the number of new cases last year was 47.

The number of new cases in the EU/EEA region in 2013 was 12.7 per 100,000.
