• The Azimut/Benetti Yachting Gala VIII will be hosted in Portofino on June 27 and 28.
During this edition, guests will have the opportunity to live a two-day experience of private sea trials and beach party on the Saturday night. As in the past editions, almost all the boats within the range of the Azimut/Benetti Group fleet will be on display for sea trials.

• A bazaar will be held at the pastoral centre in Triq il-Lanġas, Naxxar, on Friday from 4.30 to 7.30pm, Saturday from 9am to noon and 4.30 to 7.30pm and next Sunday from 9am to noon.
• A bazaar is being held at 49, Cathedral Street, Sliema, next door to Stella Maris parish centre, from Wednesday to Friday between 9.30am and 7pm and Saturday from 9am to 2pm.
• On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of St John Paul II’s first visit to Malta, the JP2 Foundation in collaboration with the Society of Christian Doctrine MUSEUM and the St Cecilia Foundation, will present a concert of sacred music by Kor Santa Ċeċilja, directed by Mro Antoine Mercieca on Thursday. The concert, which is part of St George Preca celebrations, will be held at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Blata l-Bajda at 8pm.
A Diocesan pilgrimage by the Gozo Diocese to the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal in Blata l-Bajda will take place on Friday. Bishop Mario Grech will say Mass in the chapel at 6.30pm.
Mass led by Mgr Lawrence Gatt, Chancellor and Ecclesiastical Assistant, will be said in the auditorium of the SDC General House in Blata l-Bajda on Saturday at 6.30 pm.
The Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal will be open on Friday from 7am to 11pm; on Saturday 7am to noon and from 4 to 9pm. The faithful are invited to visit and pray in front of the remains of St George Preca.
• On Mother’s Day, the Women’s Commission within Our Lady of the Lily Band Club of Mqabba is holding a two-day plant sale in front of the club’s premises at Mqabba square on Saturday and next Sunday .
• The Mission Fund is holding a garage sale until Saturday at 49, Tomaso Dingli Street, Birkirkara, from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 4.30 to 7pm. On Sunday it will open mornings only from 9am to noon.
• A garden party in aid of Caritas will be hosted by Mr and Mrs Winston Zahra on May 14 at 4.30pm at the private gardens of their residence at Il-Ġarra, Triq Carmelo Pace, Upper Iklin.
