It’s time to bring some colours to the wardrobe and Marella’s spring/summer collection starts right from the most characteristic element of this season, the sea: a dive into the intense blue of the deepest waters rising to softer and subtler hues like green and light blue.

This chromatic range also generates the newest graphic patterns: the magnified hounds tooth and checks, but also the solid colours of parkas, dust and trench coats; the outerwear goes for technical fabrics, taffeta, silk satin and the more fashionable scuba, of course. Fashion chooses round reshaping, with egg-shaped collarless spring coats and dresses or more flowing and feminine silhouettes for the chemisier dresses or blouses combined with tapered pants. Colours become lighter and create floral jacquard patterns. The precision of cuts is contrasted by some unfinished garments with fringes, conferring a tribal flair to a powerful urban collection. Special, fringed trimming for a jacket and maxi vest is in, as it is for the high-rise pants. A new length is featured in the collection; along with the mini and the maxi, wrap-around skirts and light dresses come in midi style, while blazers are longer and loose-fitting.

Summer brings the warmer tones of tropical fruits: mango and papaya, pure energy with floral patterns, perfect for new oversize blouses, meanwhile natural sand and earth tones are great on new graphical elements with maxi striped tunic dresses and circle skirts, or in solid color versions with the zip-up sporty-elegant blouson.

Choosing only a few colours means making a strong statement and only precise and unique patterns are suggested: lily, water stone, macro flowers and checks, all mixable with solid and intense hues from the collection, combining thousands of shades of blue, denim included.
