Italian ambassador Giovanni Umberto De Vito visited San Andrea School and presented the school board with a €6,000 donation from the Italian government as a contribution to the school’s bilingual programme regarding Italian language and culture that the school has offered for the past few years.

During the visit, the ambassador was shown school activities and met students of different nationalities who chose Italian as a foreign language. He welcomed the school’s commitment to providing a holistic education and promoting tolerance and integration of children from different cultures. He also expressed appreciation for planned additional initiatives aimed at encouraging students to learn Italian and developing cultural exchanges with Italy.

The ambassador was accompanied by board chairman Edgar Caruana Montaldo, head of the early and middle school Dorothy Lapira and assistant head of senior school Stephen Briffa.
