Mario Pace from Rabat is the winner of the All You Can Fly competition organised by Air Malta.
This competition gave participants the chance to win unlimited flight tickets this June to any number of Air Malta destinations free of charge. It was open to those visiting the airline’s stand at the entrance of Amitex, the yearly travel fair.
“We intend to continue organising similar competitions and invite our customers to like our Facebook page for more information about similar initiatives,” said Ursula Silling (pictured right), Air Malta’s chief commercial officer.
New look for Fortytwo
Fortytwo Telecom, a global provider of messaging solutions, has rebranded to Fortytwo. The new brand was publicly unveiled during Apps World 2015.
In addition to its simplified name, Fortytwo’s new tag line – Everything starts with a message – is more closely aligned to the significance of messaging in a changing mobile landscape.
Fortytwo has simultaneously unveiled its redesigned website www.fortytwo.com, which offer enhanced features include a series of industry use cases, a developer’s section and a blog with the latest industry and company news.
Vodafone reopens Valletta store
Vodafone has reopened its Valletta store following extensive refurbishment.
This has now been completely redesigned in line with the concept and layout of the Destination Store in Birkirkara and is now the company’s second store with this new concept in Malta.
This concept follows a global initiative led by the Vodafone Group aimed at providing the best possible customer experience across all markets.
A Vodafone staff member will greet all customers as they enter to establish what they require and they will then be directed to the appropriate channels.
As with the Birkirkara Destination Store, Vodafone has introduced a Tech Zone in Valletta where customers can ask for expert advice and information on all products and services.
Postgrad medical app launched
A software application has been launched to aid the assessment and development of medical trainees and specialists.
ePortfolio for Postgraduate Medical Training, built by Icon, is a web-based application on the Microsoft platform to support and manage postgraduate training programmes in Malta.
The Postgraduate Medical Training Centre was setup in 2008 by the government presently supports 500 doctors in the acquisition of medical knowledge in 33 specialisations ranging from anesthetic training to psychiatry.
The ePortfolio project is part financed by the European Social Fund.
