CUTAJAR. On April 27, at St Vincent de Paul residence, GIUSEPPA, aged 81, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Emanuel, her children Mary Anne, Jane, Eugenio and Salvu, their spouses, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brother Frans, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 2.30pm for St Mary parish church, Qrendi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 3pm, followed by interment at St Nicholas Cemetery, Qrendi. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

WILHELMS. On February 20, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, ISOLDE, aged 93, passed away peacefully. She leaves to mourn her loss her many friends in Malta and abroad. She will be buried at the Horner Friedhof in Bremen, Germany, on Tuesday, May 5 at noon. A Mass for the repose of her soul will be said on the same day at 6pm at St John of the Cross parish church, Ta’ Xbiex.

XERRI. On April 27, at Gozo General Hospital, MARIJA of Victoria, Gozo, widow of Ġanni, aged 100, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons Joseph A., former Assistant Director of Education, and his wife Marlene, Anthony and his wife Mary, Michael and his wife Evangelista, Carmel and his wife Saverina, George and his wife Maria, and Loreto, her daughter Dolores and her husband Kevin Kay, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister Ġolina, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital tomorrow at 4.30pm for St George’s Basilica, Victoria, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 5pm, followed by interment at St Mary’s Cemetery, Victoria. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Tempest at Ta’ Qal­­­i

A film with the working name The Tempest will be partly filmed in Ta’ Qali. Transport Malta advises that Durumblat Street, from Kumbu Street to Torba Street, will be closed, in both directions, from today to Friday between 6am and 8pm.

It will be closed again from May 5 to 8 between 2pm and 2am.

Vehicles coming from St Catherine Street, Attard, will be diverted onto Pitkali Street, Ta’ Qali. Traffic may also be diverted onto Torba Street and onto Pantar Street to reach Valletta Road in Mosta.

Bus route 205 coming from Rabat towards Mosta will proceed from St Catherine Street, Attard to Torba Street, Pantar Street, Mosta centre and follow the normal route towards Mosta church.

Bus route 205 coming from Naxxar towards Rabat will proceed from Technopark to Pantar Street, Torba Street, St Catherine Street and follow the normal route towards Attard.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution. Any inconvenience is regretted.
