Mostly Harmless Productions is staging Completely Hollywood (Abridged), an action-packed, laugh-a-minute parody of all things Tinseltown is made of.
This smash-hit play, which has been performed all over the globe, was originally conceived and created by the Reduced Shakespeare Company, which was behind the award-winning The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). The show sees three actors working their way mercilessly through 186 different films in just 90 minutes. No genre is sacred as horror, comedy, musicals and drama are given the ‘reduced’ makeover.
In the local production, three of Malta’s finest actors – Alan Montanaro, Joe Azzopardi and John Montanaro – will run through the 12 rules of creating a Hollywood film before finding time to make a ‘hit’ movie of their very own... with a little help from the audience, that is.
• Completely Hollywood (Abridged) is being staged at Sir Temi Zammit Hall, University of Malta, from Friday to Sunday and May 8 to 10 at 8pm. Tickets may be obtained online from www.mostlyharmless.com.mt or by calling 2789 2789.
