SOS Malta is appealing for aid to donate to those whose lives were devastated by the earthquake in Nepal.

The NGO will be working with its contacts on the ground to assess the needs of the 300,000 victims after Saturday’s earthquake killed more than 3,600 people. It struck between Nepal’s capital city Kathmandu and Pokhara, measuring 7.9 on Richter scale. It was felt as far away as Bangladesh, Pakistan and India.

It will be providing food, water and items such as hygiene kits and kitchen sets.

Donations can be sent to SOS Malta, 10, Triq il-Ward, Sta Venera or www.sosmalta.org/donate_now.
