April worldwide seems to be the crunch time for submitting tax returns, so I thought that the following story would assist readers with the correct completion of their tax returns.
If it is of no assistance, then it might strike a sympathetic chord, or at the very least elicit a chuckle.
Here is an example of the importance of accuracy in your tax return.
The Revenue Commission returned the tax forms of a man in the UK after he apparently answered one of the questions incorrectly.
In response to the question: “Do you have anyone dependent on you?”, the man entered:“2.1 million illegal immig-rants,1.1 million crackheads, 4.4 million unemployable scroungers, 900,000 criminals in more than 85 prisons, plus 650 idiots in Parliament and the whole of the European Commission”.
The Revenue Commission stated that the response he gave was unacceptable.
His response to them was “Who did I miss out?”
I would certainly have asked them the same question!
