Bank of Valletta employees, accompanied by family and friends, went on a trekking trip across Baħrija’s wild coast, organised by the bank’s sports and social club committee.

The event was led by Jonathan Henwood, author of the Great Walks Malta and Gozo series. The group visited Wied il-Baħrija, home to the elusive and endemic fresh water crab il-qabru, and proceeded to Il-Qlejgħa cliffs, home to a former Bronze Age village boasting beautiful views of Miġraħ il-Ferħa, Irdum il-Vigarju and Il-Blata tal-Melħ.

The club was set up by the bank to foster camaraderie between staff in an informal way.
