• Masses at Ta’ Pinu sanctuary will be said today at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15am and 5pm, followed by the rosary and eucharistic benediction.

• Masses at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Ta’ Ħamet, will be said today at 9.30am and at 7.30pm.

• A traditional fair, known as Il-Fiera tad-Dwejra, will be held all day today at Dwejra Bay, l/o San Lawrenz.

• The 40th Gozo half-marathon, the 13-mile race and bike race, and the two- and four-kilometre races, will be held today at 9.15am in Xagħra, organised by the village’s youth centre.

• Jupiter Ascending will be screened today at 6pm at Don Bosco oratory, Victoria. Simshar will be screened on Friday at 8.30pm. The Second Best Marigold Hotel will be screened on Saturday at 8.30pm.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at the Good Shepherd church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8.30pm, followed by Mass at midnight.

• The Friends of the Sick and Elderly in Gozo is holding a charity sale today from 7.30am to 1pm at the football ground next to the main car park in Victoria. A €10 fee per car space is payable on the day.

• MUSEUM superior Joe Fenech will be holding a prayer and catechesis meeting at Our Lady of Pompeii church, Victoria, on Thursday from 10 to 11am. All are invited. He also presents a weekly Saturday programme from 1 to 3pm on Radju Maria.

• Members of Il-Fergħa Ewkaristika (Għawdex) will meet at Ta’ Pinu on Saturday at 3pm to celebrate Mass and for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament till 4pm. All are welcome to attend.

• The Breast Care Support Group Europa Donna Malta will hold a Gozo breast cancer awareness walk today. Registration starts at 10am at Pope John Paul II Street, Victoria. The three-kilometre walk starts at 10.30am and ends at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary. Transport for the return journey will be provided at a charge. Everyone is welcome to join. • The annual spring show of flowers and plants will be held on May 1 at Villa Rundle gardens, Victoria, by the Gozo Agricultural, Industrial and Cultural Society.

• The annual walk in aid of Put­tinu Cares Gozo organised by the Gozo General Hospital’s em­ployees’ social, cultural and educational committee in collaboration with Puttinu Cares Gozo, will be held next Sunday at 3pm from the hospital’s front entrance. Participants will be asked to donate €8 and will be given a T-shirt for the occasion.

• This week the following concerts will be held at the Gozo Ministry hall, Victoria, as part of the Gaulitana Festival: Today at 7.30pm a concert entitled Gozzelino and Prévert: Metro De La Vie will be given by soprano Ruth Sammut Casingena and Sofia Narmania from Abkhazia on piano; On Thursday at 7.30pm there will be the concert Four Strings and a Keyboard by the Fenìlya Cello Duo from Italy; On Friday at 7.30pm the Gaulitanus Choir and soloists will perform in the concert World War I in Music and Words and on Saturday at 11.30am there will be the concert 200 Years of Music for Violin, Cello and Piano by the Fenìlya Trio from Italy.
