Ramon Mangion and Albert Agius, two officers from the curriculum development and quality assurance departments respectively at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (Mcast) attended a meeting in Rome of partners participating in Intergenerational Learning Partnership Over 55 (ILP055), a three-year Erasmus Plus project.

The partners include representatives from the field of financial services including banks, training providers and a trade union.

The project aims to provide tools and approaches to improve the employability of people aged over 55, and support the transfer of skills and work-based competencies from employees aged over 55 to the younger employees and vice-versa.

In the coming months, the partners will conduct interviews among financial service employees using focus groups and surveys, and reports for five countries will be drawn up, thus setting the framework for further insight and training needs assessment.
