Airport Impressions have launched the new music video for their latest single Star Signs, taken from their second album Mariette.

The video was produced and directed by Jean Pierre Gatt, who had also produced and directed the band’s popular music video for their previous hit single Walk With Me. Malcolm Debono and Darryl John Ellul were responsible for the filming.

The video is set in a state penitentiary reflecting a time period in the 1970s, where a musical relation is built between the guard and the three inmates played by the band alongside other cast members.

Star Signs is one of the most powerful tracks on the album and features an up-beat country rock tempo, including also some vintage rock elements. Errol, the lead singer of the band said: “We were all eager to release this powerful song which has also a special meaning to the band.

The album has received praise from the UK and the US

“It is, in fact, inspired by the positive energies transposed through the band’s musical journey, which also features in the music video. We would also like to thank everyone involved in this music video for their hard work and constant dedication.”

The track is the third single from the album, following the releases of Hymns of June and the most recent release Berlin.

The latter also won the band first place in the AAA (adult album alternative) in the internationally-acclaimed US-based ‘Unsigned Only’ competition, which included entries received from over 100 countries.

Since its release in mid-2014, the album Mariette has received international praise from most renowned musical regions, including the UK and the US.

US-based album review website evor.com gave it a rating of 11 from 10 and also included the album in its top 25 of the best CDs reviewed during 2014.

The album is available in local music stores and can be downloaded from iTunes.
