This year Malta has been given the green light to host two top-ranking tournaments in one weekend – the International Open and Grand Prix of Table Football.

The tournaments, between today and tomorrow, are being organised by Valletta Lions Table Football Club under the auspices of the Malta Table Football Sports Association and the Federation of International Sports Table Football.

The venue will be the Burmarrad Parish Centre hall and most of the top players in Europe will be here for the two competitions.

Besides Valletta Lions, two other locals teams will be vying for the major honours – Valletta SC and Bormla SC.

Spaniard Juan Noguera, the current world champion, will also play in the Open tournament along with nine other foreign players from Italy, Greece, Belgium and the UK.
