Fancy reading in quiet and peaceful country surroundings? There’s now a purposely set-up garden in the Bir Miftuħ area in Gudja.

The project, inaugurated earlier this month, is the result of collaboration between the Consultative Council for the South of Malta, the Ministry for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and Civil Liberties and private company Norwex.

A number of benches have been placed in the regenerated area where, among other activities, children may enjoy storytelling events. A Wi-Fi spot is to be set up which will help bring together traditional reading methods and technology.

A similar reading area is also planned for the jogging track in Santa Lucija.
