A woman escaped unhurt today when a tree fell on the car she was driving along Pieta Wharf at around 5.30pm.

The police said the tree was hit by a DAF trailer that was being driven towards Valletta by a 28-year-old man from Qormi and fell on a Honda Accord that was being driven by the 35-year-old woman from Zejtun.

The Honda was extensively damaged.
