Dybala: Palermo vice-president Guglielmo Micciche has admitted Chelsea target Paulo Dybala is likely to leave the Serie A club this summer. Dybala is Palermo’s leading scorer with 13 league goals. “His transfer is a popular topic of conversation, I know,” Micciche said. “We are talking about an extraordinary player that has all the characteristics to become an excellent one. So many teams want him and he will probably leave Palermo but we will find the right replacement.”

Alli: Dele Alli is excited by the prospect of playing under Mauricio Pochettino next season and believes Tottenham are the “perfect” club for him. This has been a whirlwind season for the 19-year-old, with his exceptional performances for MK Dons earning a £5 million move to White Hart Lane in February. “MK has got a special place in my heart but obviously I have signed to Tottenham,” Alli said. “Whilst I am at MK, I am just going to be focused on them, right until the end of the season.”

Hanover: Struggling Hanover 96 appointed Michael Frontzeck to replace sacked coach Tayfun Korkut yesterday, handing the former Germany international a deal for the last five matches of the season. Frontzeck, a former assistant coach at Hanover in 2004/5, has the difficult task of keeping them up despite their current 13-game winless run in the league. Korkut was sacked earlier yesterday, two days after a 4-0 defeat by Bayern Leverkusen left them fighting for Bundesliga survival with five matches remaining.

Bale: Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has a calf injury and will miss this week’s Champions League quarter-final second leg against Atletico Madrid, the club said yesterday. Bale limped off early in Real’s 3-1 victory over Malaga in La Liga on Saturday and is expected to be out of action for up to three weeks. “He has been diagnosed with an injury to the calf muscle of the left leg,” Real said.

In Italy: Serie B – Entella vs Pro Vercelli 0-0. Lega Pro (Group A) – Novara vs Giana Erminio 2-0.
