Financial services firm Calamatta Cuschieri hosted its second blood donation drive in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Service. A number of staff members from Camilleri Preziosi Advocates also joined in this initiative.

Calamatta Cuschieri’s co-CEO Alan Cuschieri said: “Approximately 60 units of blood are needed on a daily basis, thus every volunteer counts. The firm believes in the importance of corporate social responsibility and will be expanding on other initiatives such as the Investing in Nature and Walk for Cancer campaigns.”

“A normal blood donation gives one unit of blood and people who have suffered great blood loss may require about 50 units. One or two serious accidents are often enough to drain blood stocks,” he said.
