First time LifeCycle athlete Ian Ciantar will be taking on this year’s Iceland challenge in July, together with other cyclists, to raise funds for the Renal Unit at Mater Dei Hospital.

Banif Bank will be supporting the event and keeping up to date with Ciantar’s progress as he undergoes training ahead of the event.

The challenge is an annual event that aims to support patients suffering from end stage renal disease. Each year, a team of Maltese cyclists tackle the endurance event in Europe, covering an average of 2,000 kilo-metres over 10 days.

“Such endeavours harmonise with the bank’s values of ambition, humanism and determination,” said the bank’s area manager Martin Borg.
