Discussions are to be embarked upon with four selected bidders for projects at the Isolation Hospital in Mtarfa, Marfa Palace, Strickland Palace and a site at Busbesija.

The government had invited proposals for the sites' restoration and use.

Malta Health Care Caterers were selected to take over the Isolation Hospital to restore and use as a facility for the care of the elderly and other ancillary services;

The Marfa Palace was recommended to be given to Exclusivity Malta to restore and open as a boutique hotel with ancillary services, the Strickland Palace to Frott Artna Agritourism Consortium to restore and use for an agritourism project while the site at Busbesija, in Mosta, was recommended for Group Malta Ltd to restore and use as a shooting range.

The applications have been informed that their proposals have been accepted and discussions are to be embarked upon with them for an agreement to be reached on the 45-year concession, which concession has to eventually be approved by Parliament.
