Practically all the Maltese are proud of their airport, according to a brand perception survey released by Malta International Airport.

Ninety-two per cent of respondents agreed it was an important contributor to the economy. In fact, it contributes to 9.2 per cent of the country’s gross domestic product, supporting 15,300 jobs and generating €660 million annually.

When asked about the company’s performance, 87 per cent described MIA as “successful”.

Meanwhile, 96 per cent of respondents said they were satisfied with MIA, 82 per cent said the company took care of its customers and 84 per cent said the brand enjoyed a good reputation.

Airport CEO Alan Borg said he was very encouraged by this excellent feedback.

“It is an honour to be backed by such an overwhelming majority of Maltese residents”.
