At the main entrance to the Gozitan village of Żebbuġ there is a huge rubble wall.

It is at the bottleneck entrance to this beautiful village. It is a unique structure in both its form and originality.

Fifty years ago, during my childhood, there was the idea among us as children that this rubble wall should be removed so that the bottleneck entrance could be widened.

Later, whenever I passed by that rubble wall, I always recalled our childhood belief and how mistaken we were.

I would like to ask the authorities concerned, being the Gozo Ministry, Din l-Art Ħelwa or the Żebbuġ local council, to embellish this wall.

It needs to be cleaned up, the bushes growing out of it uprooted and lit up at night.
