The share price of RS2 Software plc edged up by 0.4% to end this morning’s session at its all-time high of €2.99 across seven deals totalling 16,400 shares. The IT Group has yet to announce the date of the Board meeting for the publication of the 2014 results.

Similarly, the equity of MaltaPost plc edged 0.2% higher to recapture its all-time high of €1.425 on a single trade of 4,478 shares. The postal operator is scheduled to publish its interim results (covering the six months ended 31 March) on May 8.

HSBC Bank Malta plc was the only other positive performing equity with a 1% increase to regain the €2.06 level across trades totalling almost 12,000 shares. HSBC shares will trade with the entitlement to the 1 for 9 bonus share issue until 27 April.

On the other hand, the share price of Bank of Valletta plc eased minimally lower to close this morning’s trading session at the €2.299 level across nine trades totalling 37,228 shares.

Likewise, the equity of International Hotel Investments plc retreated by 1.4% back to €0.70 on volumes of just over 2,000 shares. Last Friday, IHI confirmed that it received approval from the MFSA to issue a new €45 million 10-year bond issue carrying a coupon of 5.75% per annum.

Meanwhile, the active property-related equities all ended this morning’s session unchanged. MIDI plc held on to the €0.27 level on high volumes of 270,000 shares. Likewise, Plaza Centres plc maintained the €0.951 level on volumes of 36,000 shares and Malita Investments plc traded unchanged at the €0.97 level on just 4,040 shares.

Malta International Airport plc continued to trade at its record of €3.500 on high volumes totalling 64,978 shares. Similarly, the share price of Medserv plc remained at the €1.98 level on a single trade of 1,000 shares.

The only other active equity was Middlesea Insurance plc with no change at the €1.20 level across a single trade of 4,500 shares. 

Overall, the MSE Share Index edged marginally higher to 3,767.884 points.

On the bond market, the Rizzo Farrugia MGS Index edged 0.1% higher to 1,175.218 points as the benchmark 10-year European yield remained under pressure and close to all-time lows of 0.14%.
