DALLI. On April 1, at Mater Dei Hospital, to Stephany Borg and Adrian C. Dalli, God’s precious gift of a first-born daughter – LARA. Deo gratias et Mariæ. Special thanks to the consultant obstetrician and all the staff at Obstetrics Ward 1 for their care and dedication.

GALEA. On April 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, to Martina née Camilleri and Matthew, God’s precious gift of a daughter – LISA. Special thanks to the midwives and all the maternity staff.

Obituaries

ATTARD. On April 8, VICTOR, aged 88, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his wife Louise and her children Natasha and Christian, his brothers and sisters, Frank and his wife Jessie, Evelyn, Oscar and his wife Mary, Mgr Edgar Attard, Albert and his wife Artemia, Mary and her husband Prof. Victor Mallia Milanes, other relatives and friends. The funeral takes place in Canada. A Mass for his eternal repose will be celebrated tomorrow at 6pm at the chapel of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition, Żabbar Road, Paola. Merciful Jesus, grant him eternal rest.

AZZOPARDI. On April 11, at Loyola House, Naxxar, Fr ANTON AZZOPARDI, SJ, aged 90, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Mother Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brethren in the Society of Jesus and his sisters Maria, widow of his brother Edward Micallef, Sina, widow of James Marsh, Karen, widow of Paul J. Naudi and his sister-in-law Aida, widow of his brother Louis, nephews, relatives, friends and ex-students of St Aloysius’ College and the Seminary in Gozo. Mass praesente cadavere will be cele­brated tomorrow at 3pm at Naxxar parish church, followed by interment at the parish cemetery in Naxxar. No flowers by request but donations to the Jesuit Province Infirmary for the aged and sick Jesuits will be greatly appreciated. May he rest in the peace of the Risen Lord.

BRINCAT. On April 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA CONCETTA (Cettina) née Camilleri, aged 92, widow of Joseph, born in Cos­picua, residing in Paola, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Josephine and her husband George, Victoria and her husband Paul, Rose, and Charles and his wife Carmen, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 8.30am at Christ the King parish church, Paola, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

DE DOMENICO. On April 10, ANDREW, aged 71, passed peacefully away at home surrounded by his family and comforted by the Holy Sacrament. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Madeleine, his children Debby and her husband George, Darren and Marita, Adam and Joanna, Steve and Eve, his grandchildren Sasha and her husband Mathew, Kay and Ben, Sean, Ruby and Warren, Sam, Mia, Jack and his great-grandchildren Sebastian and Daniel, his sisters Kathleen, Elizabeth, Nathalie, Sandy and their respective families and his many friends. Mass praesante cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow at 9.30am at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema. No flowers by request but donations to the Little Sisters of the Poor will be appreciated.

GRECH. On April 10, MARIA, widow of Anthony (tax-Xuxi), aged 82, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Nancy, Mary Rose, Reno and his wife Doreen, Grace and her husband Joe Navarro and Frances, her grandchildren Emanwel and David, John Anthony and Andrew, her sister-in-law Concetta Buttigieg, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital tomorrow at 4pm for the cathedral, Victoria, where there will be prayers of Psalms at 4.15pm and Mass praesente cadavere at 4.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria cemetery, Victoria. No flowers by request but donations to Sacred Heart Seminary, Victoria, would be appreciated.

PSAILA. On April 19, at RM Hospital, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, JOSEPH, aged 67, passed peacefully away. He leaves to mourn his loss his son Damian, his partner Josephine Parnis, his sisters Marylene and Gladys, his brothers Edward and Godfrey, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. A Mass for the repose of his soul will be held on Thursday at 6.30pm at Fatima parish church, Pietà. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CARUANA – MURIEL. Unfading and treasured memories of a dearly beloved mother and grandmother who went to meet the Risen Lord seven years ago today. So loved and so sadly missed by her daughter Carol, son-in-law David and grandchildren Rachel, Zach and Anthea. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
