The painting of the zebra crossing in St Anne Street, Floriana in the colours of the rainbow to commemorate the first anniversary of the civil unions law is, in my opinion, very dangerous.

What now? On another anniversary, we will change the No Entry signs to blue? Or change the traffic lights colours to yellow, black and pink?

A zebra crossing should be kept in the proper colours, otherwise this can be a peril for motorists.

I’m sure that they could have celebrated this particular anniversary in another way.
