ATTARD. On April 8, VICTOR, aged 88, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his wife Louise and her children Natasha and Christian, his brothers and sisters, Frank and his wife Jessie, Evelyn, Oscar and his wife Mary, Mgr Edgar Attard, Albert and his wife Artemia, Mary and her husband Prof. Victor Mallia Milanes, other relatives and friends. The funeral takes place in Canada. A Mass for his eternal repose will be celebrated on Monday, April 13 at 6pm at the chapel of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition, Żabbar Road, Paola. BORG. On April 9, at Casa Arkati, Mosta, JOSEPHINE, at the venerable age of 96, passed away peacefully, comforted by the Holy Sacraments. She leaves to mourn her loss her eight children, Vivie, George, Maurice, Dennis, Margaret, Antida, Albert and Martin and their respective families. May the Risen Lord welcome her to eternal life where she will meet her husband Elia and daughter Mary. She will always be deeply missed by all. Mass will be said tomorrow at 2pm at the Oratorju MSSP, Birkirkara, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. BROCKDORFF. On April 7, JOSEPH, aged 77, Founder and Chairman of BPC International Limited, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad and irreparable loss his wife Aurelia, his beloved children, Noellie, David and his wife Audrey, Adrianne and her husband Tonio Mercieca, Daniel and his wife Vincienne, Wojtek and Adam and grandchildren Chris, Jonathan, James, Andrew, Michael, Lara, and Nicole, his brothers Michael and Victor, other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held today, leaving Mater Dei Hospital for the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, San Pawl tatTarġa, Naxxar, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. COLOMB. On April 7, LUCIA, née Boer, of Sliema, aged 91, passed away peacefully at her home, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her daughters Vicky and Fiona, her sons-in-law Rod and David, her grandchildren Charlie, Jed, and Jamie, her special carers Rita and Maria, and her other carers and many friends. SCHEMBRI WISMAYER. On April 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, RENO of Birkirkara, residing at St Paul’s Bay, aged 73, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Deeply mourned by his beloved wife Emily, his children Lidwina and her husband Glen, Etienne and his wife Jeanette, Andre and his wife Bernice, grandchildren Samira, Nora, Teo, Nathan, Sean, Martina and Noah, his brothers and sister, his in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30pm for Our Lady of the Annunciation parish church, Balzan, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. SULTANA. On April 9, MARIA ANTONIA of Xagħra, passed away, aged 87. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joe and his wife Matilda, Agnes and her husband Gregory Grech, Rita and her husband Joseph Refalo, Frances and her husband Teddy Vella, and Pio and his wife Grace, their children and grandchildren, her cousins and relatives, and clients of Il-Kartell Restaurant, Marsalforn. The funeral takes place tomorrow, with the cortège leaving Gozo General Hospital at 4.15pm. Prayers at the Xagħra Basilica of the Nativity of Our Lady start at 4.45pm, and a requiem Mass follows at 5pm. She will then be interred in the family grave at Xagħra cemetery. Family and friends are asked to remember her in their prayers. Donations to Arka Foundation, Għajnsielem, as an alternative to flowers, would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

WIRTH – Capt. WILLIAM H. On April 7, aged 94, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Jolanda (Jolly), née Vianello, his daughter Ingrid Moebus and his grandson Mark Moebus, his sisters and brothers Mollie Wirth, Yvonne Marich, Irene Wirth, Laurie and his wife Anna, Babs Cutugno, Edgar and his wife Nanette, Monica Borg Testaferrata, Risette Wirth, and his in-laws Gladys Wirth and Ronnie Pace Decesare, Lucio Lenardon, Rosanna and Mariella Vianello, numerous nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
