A sizable group of silent voters will “make history” in Saturday’s spring hunting referendum, Shout said this afternoon.
“We are a group of ordinary people, who have come together because we agree on one thing that’s worth fighting for,” said spokesman Saviour Balzan.
“If we give it a chance, we can have tranquility and wildlife in our countryside this spring.”
Addressing supporters at the final event of the Shout campaign at City Gate, he said the campaign ambassadors had suffered intimidation and personal attacks, but that time would prove them right.
Mark Sultana said the campaign had been a positive one that did not need to work hard to convince people of the points it was making. Rather, he said, people were coming up to them to thank them for representing their viewpoint.
“Don’t lose heart, urge everyone you know to vote, and I believe this will be one of the nicest springs our country has ever seen.”
