A 22-year-old man was charged today with threatening his father and damaging his car in Valletta yesterday evening.

Janis Caruana, from Valletta, pleaded not guilty to the possession of heroin, threatening his father, damaging his car, possession of a knife and causing his father to fear him.

He was also charged with breaching the peace, disobeying police and relapsing.

Mr Caruana was remanded in custody.

Police Inspector Daryl Borg prosecuted while lawyer Abigail Bugeja represented the accused.
