I recently visited Ta’ Duna church in St Paul’s Street, Rabat, together with a group of friends, most of them foreigners. We were keen to see the unique artefacts such as miniatures of the Good Friday procession statues and churches.

Over the past few years I have always visited this unique 16th century church during Lent purposely to see these exhibitions related to Good Friday. I was utterly bewildered and disappointed, as was the rest of the group, to go inside this church and find ceramic artefacts which have nothing to do with Lent.

I expressed my views to a person who happened to be there and was informed that the archpriest was in charge of this church.

I expect such exhibitions to be connected to the Catholic religion, especially if they take place in a church.
