Q: I recently bought a dress from a seller in the UK and still have the receipt. When I came back to Malta, I decided to change it and went to the brand’s local seller. They refused even though they have the same model in stock.

What are my rights in this situation?

A: Since you didn’t buy the dress from the local seller, the law does not give you the right to request a solution from them. If you want to change the dress you need to contact the seller abroad and see what solutions they can offer you. Consumer law does not cover change of mind situations. Hence, any solution has to be obtained through an amicable solution with the seller.
