A Syrian national was today granted bail after pleading not guilty to cannabis trafficking and possession of the drug found in circumstances denoting it was not for his personal use.

Alnafouri Mohamed Nour, 20, from San Gwann, was charged with the possession of around 60 grams of cannabis, with relapsing and with having breached various court orders.

He was granted bail against a deposit of €2,000 and a personal guarantee of €10,000.Police Inspector Malcolm Bondin prosecuted. Lawyers Gianella de Marco and Gianluca Curuana Curran appeared for the accused.
