BERNARD. Count PAUL EDGAR WILLIAM BERNARD, 5.5.1957-20.3.2015, passed away peacefully after a short illness, near Lisbon, Portugal, where he had lived and worked for many years as a translator, official guide, and European tour operator. He leaves to mourn his loss his brother Marc and his family, close family friends and ties in Portugal, the United Kingdom and Malta, and loyal friends worldwide who loved him dearly and for whom he was a source of joy and inspiration. He will be dearly missed and remembered with much affection. A memorial Mass for the repose of his soul will be held in Malta at a date to be announced. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BUSUTTIL. On March 28, at St Vincent de Paul Hospital, PAUL of Safi, aged 70, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmen, his daughters Mariella, Ċettina and Ruth, his grandsons Paul and Dunskie, brother and sisters, family and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Hospital today at 2.45pm for St Paul’s Church in Safi, where mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery in Safi. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu will be appreciated.

GALEA. On March 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, FRANCESCO SAVERIO, aged 86, of Attard, widower of Tessie, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his son Dr Ray Galea and his wife Nathalie, his granddaughter Maria Roberta and her husband Christopher Mallia, his nephews and nieces especially Sylvana Barthet, their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, April 1, at 8.30am for Santa Maria parish church, Attard, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at San Andrea Cemetery, Żebbuġ. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GRECH. On March 29, at Mater Dei Hospital, NICOLINA, née Cordina, aged 85, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Jessie, Sammie, Marion, John, Edwin and Eileen, and their respective families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, at 1.30pm for Lija parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the staff who took care of her at Cardiac Medical, Medical Ward 2 and Urology Ward 2 at M.H.D. and Rehab Wards 3 and 7 at Karin Grech Hospital. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

PEARSALL. On March 28, THERESA (Tessie), aged 89, of Paola, widow of Henry, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Mary and her husband Domenic Attard, James and his wife Tessie, Charles and his wife Marcelline, her beloved grandsons Adrian and his wife Christine, Karl and his wife Maria, Bertrand and his wife Julianne and Martin, her great-grandchildren Franky, Marley Stella, Sean Paul, Vivien and Emma Kate, her sisters Mary, Lora, Antoinette and Rose, their respective families, relatives in Australia and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30pm for Tarxien cemetery (Ta’ l-Erwieħ) chapel where Mass præsente cadavere will be held at 3pm, followed by interment in the cemetery. PULIS. On March 29, at St James Hospital Sliema, GEORGE of Tal-Ibraġ, aged 62, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Anna née Loporto, his cherished children Kirsten, Alan and Iro, Marc and Clyde, his siblings Antoinette and Ray Bajada, Louis and Tonia Pulis and Isabelle and Mario Mercieca, his in-laws Tania and Tony Sultana, Marica and Frank Gauci, Josef Loporto and Christine and Silvana and George Bartolo Parnis, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St James Hospital tomorrow Tuesday, at 8.30am for Tal-Ibraġ parish church , where Mass præesente cadavere will be held at 9am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery.
