The Nationalist Party this evening accused the prime minister of waging a negative local elections electoral campaign, and said that while he was making allegations against the PN, he himself needed to assume political responsibility for the Premier Cafe’ scandal, political interference in oil hedging and the engagement of Cyrus Engerer, who was granted security clearance despite a criminal conviction.

“In the three weeks of the electoral campaign, Dr Muscat was only negative. Muscat is only capable of attacking,” the PN said.
