The University has signed an agreement with Italian company CTP Tecnologie di Processo to support the Pharmacy Department in the area of pharmaceutical technology.

Through the agreement, CTP will organise specialised courses focusing on practical examples and hands-on experience of good manu-facturing processes required in the manufacture, testing and distribution of medicines in Europe. The first such courses led by CTP tutors for students and professionals from the local pharmaceutical industry is currently being under way.

The agreement also enables BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Technology students to undertake three-month placements at CTP in Italy.
