Q: I bought a tablet from a local seller and since I bought it, it has already been repaired three times.

Two months ago, I took it once again for repair and this time they sent it to the mother company abroad.

The same problem is recurring and they do not seem to be able to resolve it.

It has now been several weeks since the tablet was taken for repairs. I have asked for a new replacement but the seller refuses to change it. What are my rights? Am I entitled to a new tablet?

A: If the tablet was purchased less than two years ago, then the two-year legal protection is still valid and since the seller has already repaired it several times, you can ask for a replacement.

Should the trader refuse to replace the tablet with a new one, you may file a complaint with the Office for Consumer Affairs within the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority.
