On any given weekday morning you may find Mario, Julian and Daniel among an audience of teens happily (and figuratively) eating from the palm of their hands as the trio wax poetic and at times quasi-acrobatic on the matter of transport safety.

The actors, and an invariably tiny backstage squad, spend their days travelling from one school auditorium to the next gifting students with laughter fits as they explain the cornerstone elements that make for a safe and intelligent engagement with our transport system.

This is, in fact, the second consecutive tour that Street Smart has undertaken, with the first leg visiting a total of 20 schools throughout the latter portion of the 2013/2014 scholastic year. This time round the team have added an extra 10 tour dates and will thus be visiting a total of 30 schools.

The show has received an abundance of praise from educators and pupils alike noting especially the production’s creativity and ingenuity within the breath-takingly tight parameters set by a school touring performance.

Nonetheless, the producers insist that albeit not all stages are an optimal setting within which to present this blitz paced, rapier witted show, every person on the team would have unwaveringly given it their absolute all by the curtain call time.
