Match-fixing: Moldovan top division club Dinamo-Auto have indefinitely suspended two players over allegations of match-fixing, the Tiraspol-based side said. “For the management of Dinamo-Auto, it’s always been and will be important to observe the principles of fair play,” the club, founded in 2009, said in a statement.

West Brom: West Brom will play in a 1968 retro kit in the Premier League match against Leicester City on April 11 to honour former striker Jeff Astle who died from a condition caused by regular blows to the head. The Premier League have granted permission for the club to wear the same white strip with red socks that West Brom wore in the 1968 FA Cup final when Astle’s goal beat Everton.

CSKA Sofia: CSKA Sofia have issued a desperate plea to their supporters to provide emergency financial backing to avoid expulsion from the Bulgarian top division over debts, the club said yesterday. “Today, we’re launching a campaign to collect funds to save the licence of CSKA,” the 31-times Bulgarian champions, who have never been relegated, said. “The required amount is one million levs.”

Real Madrid: A Spanish government commission has imposed fines of €3,001 on a Real Madrid member and two others who insulted players and struck at least one of their vehicles after Sunday’s ‘Clasico’ defeat at Barcelona. Players including Gareth Bale and Jese were targeted along with coach Carlo Ancelotti after they arrived back in Madrid following the 2-1 defeat at the Nou Camp. The government’s anti-violence in sport commission imposed the fines as well as a six-month ban from sports venues.
