ATTARD. On March 24, EMMANUEL F. of Żebbuġ (former head teacher, Birżebbuġa Primary School), aged 84, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Mary, widow of Spiro Muscat, his brother Philip and his wife Lourdes, his sisters-in-law Maria, Doris and Carmen, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends, especially his nephew Hilary, his carer Mary Borg and his colleagues at Għaqda Kittieba tal-Malti and Kunsill Nazzjonali tal-Anzjani. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 2pm for St Philip parish church, Żebbuġ, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family vault at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Żebbuġ. On March 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALFRED of Valletta, residing at Vittoriosa (former advertising traveller, Allied Newspapers Ltd), aged 75, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Joyce, née Grech, his sons Neville and his wife Michelle and Duncan and his wife Doriselle, his brother Walter and Christine, his grandchildren Tristan, Courtney and Yana, in-laws, other relatives, former colleagues at Allied Newspapers Ltd, and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Friday, March 27, at 8.30am at St Lawrence Collegiate church, Vittoriosa, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CASSAR. On March 17, at St George’s Hospital, London, ALFRED of Ħamrun (former employee at the Malta High Commission, London), aged 67, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brothers and sisters, Marie, Anthony and his wife Jane, Joyce and her husband Joe Shaw, Ronald and his wife Mary, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.15pm for Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception (Kunċizzjoni) parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. GALEA. On March 15, ANTOINETTE (former head of the Special School for the Deaf and the Blind, Pietà), aged 80, passed away peacefully at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, UK. She leaves to mourn her great loss her numerous nephews and nieces and their families in Malta and UK, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.15am for Our Lady of Sorrows parish church, St Paul’s Bay, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. GIORGIO. On March 23, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, DUNSTAN, aged 71, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Sarah and her husband Andrew Jaccarini, Gabi and her husband Kayne Lanzon, and Christopher, his wife Mary Rose, his grandsons Benjamin, Julian and Nicholas, his sister Marcelle and her husband Brian Copus, their children Clive and Veronica and their respective spouses, other relatives, in-laws and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9.30am for the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass will be said at 10am, followed by interment at the same cemetery. She also leaves to mourn her loss her carer, Divina, relatives and friends.
