€4,963.53 worth of expired or damaged medicines were recalled in October and November last year, Health Minister Konrad Mizzi said today.

Replying to a parliamentary question by Nationalist MP Claudette Buttigieg, the minister said 54 types of medicine were recalled.

This effectively meant 0.31 per cent of medicines distributed to the consumer in the Pharmacy of Your Choice system.
