Two years after the general election, the Labour government is still reaping the fruit of visionary projects conceived by the Nationalist administration, PN leader Simon Busuttil said.

Speaking in Vittoriosa, he said examples included the new Parliament building and the whole city gate project designed by Renzo Piano, the new oncology hospital conceived by the Nationalist government to ensure that the dignity of cancer
patients was respected and the interconnector between Sicily and Malta, designed to give Malta a stable power supply.

The interconnector, he observed, will start being used today.

Last week, he added, when the Prime Minister turned off the Marsa power station, this was only possible thanks to the interconnector and the much-criticised BWSC power station made possible by the PN.

Dr Busuttil also pointed out that the Coast Road, the only big road-related
project being carried out, was also started by the Nationalist government.
