A 57-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured in a road accident in Għajnsielem yesterday morning.

The incident happened at 8am in Mġarr Road when the motorcyclist, who was head­ing to Mġarr, was involved in a collision with a Ford Fiesta going in the same direction.

The car was driven by an 18-year-old man from Xagħra.

A 25-year-old man from Birkirkara who was riding pillion was slightly injured.
