The Faculty of Theology of the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, together with the Augustinian Institute (Malta), will be holding an international conference on Augustine of Hippo’s preaching.

This third series of lectures, to be held in Malta from April 8 to 10, will deal with some very particular aspects of Augustine’s preaching, with an eye to assess the impact this preaching had on the state of the Catholic Church in North Africa and on the holy Roman Empire.

Lectures will be held at Hotel San Pawl, Blacktail Street, St Paul’s Bay.

Among the lecturers are some names of international repute. The speakers are all experts in the field of the history of the Catholic Church in North Africa at the time of Augustine, on the preaching techniques and topics regarding theology, philosophy, social life and spirituality in North Africa in the 5th century.
