Pembroke Athleta striker Lucky Omeruo has been named in the Nigeria U-23 squad to face Zambia in an All Africa Games qualifier today.

Coach Samson Siasia called up 18 players for the match in Abuja as he looks to lead the side a step closer to qualification to the finals in Congo later this year.

Omeruo is having a positive campaign with Division One high-fliers Pembroke and scored six goals to help his team stay in contention for promotion to the Premier League.

Qualification for the All Africa Games also keeping alive the hopes of a berth in next year’s Olympic Games tournament in Brazil.

Nigeria U-23 reached the final round of the All Africa Games qualifiers after dismissing Gabon 6-1 on aggregate in a two-legged tie.
