Let’s Do It Malta held a clean-up of the Xgħajra-Marsascala coastline, focusing on the area around the Tal-Wisgħa Tower, built by the Knights of St John in the 17th century.

Around 25 people spent a day picking up a significant amount of rubbish that had been dumped in the area over the past years. The waste, some of which proved to be hazardous, was safely disposed by the Cleansing Directorate.

Let’s Do It Malta is spearheading a national clean-up campaign on May 9 called Let’s Do It Mediterranean.

People, organisations or businesses interested in taking part may e-mail the national coordinator, Julian Cefai, at jcefai@letsdoitworld.org.
